New post
The post-punk revival continues to animate the British youth cultures of our time. More and more artists and bands with an unmistakable punk attitude of bygone days are appearing in various forms. A few months after their first release "Heat!", the British sextet DEADLETTER returns with their new single "The Snitching Hour". From the very first second on, they take you into a catchy, extraordinary groove, which once again presents the band from a completely new side.
Lyrically, as expected, the fight against the establishment is on the agenda, which frontman Zac Lawrence does not mince words. Refreshingly musically, the song is complemented by saxophonist Poppy Richler, whose funky playing gives the serious in "Shitching Hour" a fun aura, which invites you to dance. DEADLETTER go ahead as a refreshing UK rock combo and play on the one hand musically refined sensitive central social issues of young people and remain on the other hand at every second in the matter absolutely serious, because they seem to be serious to name local conditions and to treat in their post-punk rock bluntly.
