Playing tight - getting a feel for good timing
New post
It's release time for the band Leoniden - and we were there live! At the “Together Kiel” festival we were able to experience the Kiel indie rock band live in Kiel and were among the first listeners to “Complex Happenings Reduced To A Simple Design”. It took two years to finish the record - now it's ready for all stages, big and small, and of course available wherever there is music.
The five-piece band is now considered a prime example of aspiring independent bands from Germany. Over the years, the Leonids have gradually earned their place in the music scene and in the hearts of their fans. Anyone who has followed her from the start knows exactly what we are talking about. Meanwhile, the band and their team are on the move at a first-class level and play sold-out concerts, tours and headline shows at well-known festivals. What used to be the little sprinter without a big team is now a real tour bus with all the trimmings. The live show of the Leonids is grandly planned and the team from the sound and light technician to the stage staff to the merch stand is perfectly organized.
Live on stage, the band is an absolute stunner in our eyes. In any case, we would be very surprised if someone in the auditorium doesn't feel a smile on their faces and the rhythm in their blood. There is dancing and singing, wild jumping and in quieter moments lying in each other's arms. The almost continuously danceable show also packs socially critical, political and personal moments in honest emotions. Look forward to the “Complex Happenings” tour next year - you shouldn't miss it.
The band convinces with honest lyrics, catchy melodies and danceable indie beats. The five young men from Northern Germany have managed to create an unmistakable sound that polarizes and casts a spell over listeners. Paired with a strong and sympathetic media presence, a smart feeling for graphics and design and an absolute tailwind from your booking agency, the Leonids are gradually conquering the country.
The band Leoniden is an excellent example of continuous growth and success through hard work and a long breath. The history of the Leonids shows that bands and artists can have a great career in the music business even without a major label and record deal. The decisive factor for this is the competence in your own ranks and a clear division of tasks between the individual band members. Nowadays it is no longer enough just to make good music. No, you need a capable overall concept on various levels in order to be successful at this level. You can find out more about these topics in our “Music Business” category here in the blog.
In our opinion, the premiere of the Together-Kiel Festival was more than successful! Artists like Lea, Provinz, Giant Rooks, Nura and many more share a stage in front of more than 1000 spectators. The team around Jannek Schmitt and Nicolas Grimm mastered the festival planning including island regulation under pandemic-friendly circumstances with flying colors despite the large number of spectators. In addition, some alternative local providers are involved, which offer food and drink for all festival visitors, which we find particularly nice. Among other things, there is also a vegan offer, so there was really something for everyone. The very friendly team and the great festival flair make Together-Kiel a great festival experience - thank you for the great concert evenings with you and see you next year.
